How to Perform Ghusul, Shrouding, Janazah Salah and Burial process

At-Taqwa Masjid is holding one hour course on How to Perform Ghusul, Shrouding, Janazah Salah and Burial process of a deceased person in Islam according to Quran and Sunnah. There will be two courses, one for Men and then next day for Women as there is difference between both Ghusul and shrouding processes of Men and women. 

A Complete description, with a dummy, equipment, facilities and all other items which are required, will be presented and demonstrated plus questions and answers.

There will be a brief highlight on the Islamic Will as well.

The course will start After Magrib Salah which is 7:50 pm.

The course for women will be presented live on a big TV screen, in complete Pardah (Seclusion).

• National Muslim Convention 2009 - 24 and 25 October, Labour weekend.

  FIANZ is holding, Insha Allah, the first National Muslim Convention for New Zealand in Auckland during the forthcoming Labour weekend, ie, 24 and 25 October. The idea is to establish, for the Muslim New Zealanders, an annual event which they can converge to, along with their families, to socialise with the other Kiwi Muslims and at the same time participate in the various programmes including sports, religious activities, meetings, forums, etc.

  The theme for this Convention is Building strong New Zealand Muslim Families. The Convention will take on a "carnival atmosphere" for the whole family. The Convention will be held mainly over the two days, Saturday and Sunday with the (official) opening ceremony on the Saturday morning. The main venue will be the Wesley Community Centre, 740 Sandringham Road, Mt Roskill. The forum would comprise a keynote speaker and another speaking to the theme of the Convention followed by a dinner.

The first Lecture will be given by respectable Sheikh Kebahba on the topic of ZUHD (Simplicity in Life). 2nd speaker is our learned Imam Sheikh Mohammad Anwar Sahib on a very important topic of GOSSIPS. 

Both of these topics are very important as we deal with them in our daily life. We have to have the knowledge of the isdsues about Gossips and same time the sigficance of living a simple life in Islam according to Quran and sunnah.

Make this Saturday evening an opportunity to educate yourself with the beautiful teachings of Islam according to Quran and Sunnah. At the same time, meet and make friends with new Muslims from different cultures and ethnic backgrounds in a very friendly and Islamic environment. Feel free to ask questions to our sheikh and inshAllah answers will be given at the end of Daras or if the answer needs a detailed explanation then it will be given later at Sheikh's convenience.

Bring your friends and families along. Separate arrangement for ladies at the back in full Pardah. Ladies are encouraged to pray any Salah with Jamah as this arrangement for ladies is permanent.
