 Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa’Barakatoh

It's been three years since the launch of the Kiwi Muslim Directory, Allah's mercy and our community’s and advertisers' support, sincere hard work, numerous challenges, and quite a few sleepless nights have materialized this edition. We would like to thank Allah (SWT) the most merciful and the most beneficent for giving us the strength to be persistent in publishing this edition of the Kiwi Muslim Directory. As we all know Kiwi Muslim Directory is the only Muslim Media in New Zealand. The Kiwi Muslim Directory aims to be a unique and most helpful guide, to the New Zealand Muslim community.

Since its launch in 2009, Kiwi Muslim Directory’s vision is to utilize the web and print media to build bridges between the various Muslim organizations, centres, mosques, leaders, volunteers and the our community at large. Our attempt is to unite the New Zealand Muslim community, we did realize the potential of this service in bringing community stakeholders together and helping them connect and communicate. For the first time we have included articles mostly written by our local scholars. Next year Inshallah we will also try to include businesses which are not Muslim owned but those that help our Muslim community.

Our heart goes out to the people of Queensland, Japan and our own Christchurch who faced natural disasters, may Allah Subhanawatala give them strength and patience. In Surah Al-Fath(48:7) Allah says "For to Allah belong the Forces of the heavens and the earth" and in the same surah(48:8) Allah also says “Indeed, We have sent you as a witness and a bringer of good tidings and a warner”. We thank and pray to Allah Subhanawatala to keep us safe from any natural disaster and any harm. We are also greatly saddened by the political situation in some of our middle eastern countries. May Allah Subhanawatala guide them on the right path.

We are humbled to be able to serve the Muslim community in a creative way and we request you to remember us in your prayers.
